The Renewable Energy Civil Society Network (RECSO)

is a loose, semi-formal network that brings together civil society organizations (CSOs), academic institutions, individuals, and other networks committed to promoting and advancing renewable energy initiatives and sustainable practices across Uganda. The network operates at national, local, sub-regional, and community levels, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective action within the renewable energy sub-sector.

Environmental Alert currently serves as the coordinating organization, mobilizing and facilitating the participation of member CSOs and networks in structured policy dialogue and engagement with Government through the relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). Through this coordination, the network strengthens civil society’s voice in shaping renewable energy policies, advocating for sustainable energy solutions, and supporting the country’s transition to clean and affordable energy for all.
